awarded the \u201cGreen Key\u201d certification \u2014 one of the most recognised standards for environmental responsibility and sustainability in the tourism sector. The certification is also a commitment to meeting the strict requirements set by the Foundation for Environmental Education, ensuring that SPA VILNIUS guests can be confident that their stay contributes to protecting the environment. <\/p>\n<p>To receive this important recognition, SPA VILNIUS had to meet \u201cGreen Key\u201d requirements in areas including waste management, reducing water and energy consumption, the use of appropriate cleaning and washing products, food products, and other categories. We have also committed to involving our guests, employees, suppliers, and the local community in environmental initiatives.  <\/p>\n<p>The certification programme, coordinated by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE), has been running since 1994, when it began in Denmark. France joined Green Key in 1998, and in 2003, \u201cGreen Key\u201d became a programme of the Foundation for Environmental Education. Since then, \u201cGreen Key\u201d has become the fastest-growing eco-label in the tourism sector, assessing tourism businesses across Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and the Caribbean.
